The CACNA1A Foundation’s 2026 Community Conference will take place in Houston, Texas, and we’re thrilled to gather our community again. The event will be offered in a hybrid format, so whether you join us in person or tune in from home, you’ll be able to participate fully in the sessions and discussions.

Our conference brings together individuals and families living with CACNA1A-related disorders, caregivers, researchers, clinicians, scientists, advocates, and industry partners. It’s a unique opportunity for everyone in the CACNA1A community to learn, connect, and build meaningful collaborations.

The 2026 agenda is currently in development. In the meantime, you can explore the 2024 agenda below to get a sense of the sessions, speakers, and community-building activities we’ve hosted in the past.

  • This 2024 Agenda will give you an idea of what to expect.

The 2026 Agenda is in development. Tentative Schedule:

July 9thClinical Care Intakes and the opportunity to participate in Research Studies

July 10th—Sessions focused on Clinical Care, Research, and Genetics. Evening activity: Join us for an adult cocktail party while the kids have a pizza-and-movie night.

July 11th—Sessions focused on Family Support—The family sessions featured information and resources to help patients and families navigate the challenges of CACNA1A-related diseases across a number of topics and provided opportunities to strengthen connections and support across the community. Evening activity - Please join us for a family dinner and dance party! (cowboy boots optional)

Please note that the actual cost of the conference is approximately $750 per person. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, the CACNA1A Foundation can offset a significant portion of this cost, helping make the conference more accessible to families.
